Any Port in a Storm

Acrylic on gesso primed hardboard 16" x 20".

This is an acrylic version of the 1974 unfinished pastel depiction of "The Laithe at Rotcher" and is complete with a couple of imaginary details.

The reference photograph on which the painting is based was taken in 1954.  There have been many improvements to the property but the wooden lintel above the window still remains as does the wooden hay rake shown.
