Started in 1984 then discontinued after someone spilt tea on it.  Completed in 1989 after partial cropping - hence the missing part of the tail of the R/H male sparrow.  The remainder of the tea stain was either overpainted or incorporated into the painting.  In the circumstances I suppose that this is really a mixed media painting.
